    Elmo Bed- a bust

This bed is fun and cute but not durable and not a great buy. The pump that comes with the bed is worse than a bike pump and it takes FOREVER to blow it all up(4 separate things to blow up). My daughter liked being on an air bed and she had fun lounging in it but do not expect this to last very long at all.

    Not a Great Investment!

My son loves elmo, so when it was time to get him into a toddler bed, I found this and naturally thought, WOW he’ll love it! Well to no surprise he did, but because of the looks of the bed, he believed it to be more of a play area rather then somewhere to sleep at night. And the bed does not hold up well at all! We have had it all off a few months, and it’s already deflating. And he still falls asleep in my husbands recliner, and we then move him to his bed! Don’t waste your money, rather get a regular toddler bed, so that the toddler knows it’s not play time.

Sesame Street Elmo Bed Sure to Please
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
I purchased this bed as a Christmas gift for my 2 year old grandson. He sleeps over on occasion and I felt it was time to move him to his own bed. Both of us were extremely pleased with this inflatable Elmo bed. Initially, we had quite a bit of difficulty inflating it with the included pump. It was essentially worthless. My husband was able to rig up our vacuum to do the job much quicker and easier. Once up, we were very pleased with the look and construction of the bed. It has soft sides which serve as a bumper for smaller tots, preventing rolling out of bed. It sits on the floor anyway, and is only a couple of inches off the carpet from the sides. The colors are bright and inviting for a toddler with Elmo’s outstretched arms as a headboard, welcoming them as they climb in. It’s a perfect size for a toddler but, I discovered that you cannot use a sheet set. There is no way to hook a fitted sheet on the air mattress nor tuck a flat sheet in. We simply purchased a small red sleeping blanket and made bedtime a “camping with Elmo” experience.

My daughter loves elmo so much and I’m well please with this product. She loves it so much and It is nice and it’s a must have for elmo fans. The only thing I complain about is the inflater,,, you will definitely loose 10 lbs blowing this sucker up. Otherwise great product.

Loved sleeping in it, but hard to deflate
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
My son LOVED this bed for grandma’s house! It wasn’t too hard to inflate, but deflating was a real pain. They should have added a plug that you could pull to let all of the air out. Putting a straw in the outlets helped, but there’s got to be a better way. Hopefully we’ll think of it before we visit again on Chritmas.

Very Good Product…but a little work required!

This is a great bed for Toddler’s, whether used as a portable or permanent bed. We thought it would be a huge play time distraction and deter sleep, but not so! A couple of things to note: (1) watch out for the electric static, the interaction between sheets/pajamas may cause on the bed. You may want to use some type of static guard to reduce that effect (2) The air pump…which is actually a plastic foot pump was disappointing. The pump itself is not too durable and it takes awhile to inflate and deflate this bed. Overall though…definitely worth it!

Great Bed, Got my toddler OUT of my bed!
    Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We got this bed for our toddler daughter after having tried every other silly trick to try and transition her from co-sleeping to her own bed. This bed worked IMMEDIATELY and she hasn’t been in our bed since the very night we got it and assembled it.

Yes, it takes awhile to blow up but once it is done, it holds the air remarkably well. Who cares if it looks like a “raft”…it keeps my child excited for bed time in her OWN bed and it keeps her from falling out of bed at 3 AM.

WELL worth the price, and WELL worth what it looks like for now. It’s a great, inexpensive item to transition your toddler from infant to “big kid” bed.

slow to fill but great once it’s ready!

I bought this bed for my 2 year old to take with us when traveling. We have not actually traveled yet, but once we got it we inflated it to see how he reacted to it. First of all if using the manual foot pump, I cannot imagine how long it would take to inflate all of the pieces! We have an electric pump and it still took a good 15 minutes. When we put it in front of our son his face lit up at the site of Elmo. He immediately got on to the bed and then, while very cute, he started jumping on it proclaiming “Bounce, Bounce, Bounce”. We let him have his fun for a few minutes then explained it was for sleeping. He immediately laid down (after retrieving his faithful bear) and pretended to snore! He didn’t bounce on it again, but we have yet to have him sleep on it for a whole night!

Overall I think it is a great bed for traveling. The only two cons that I have is the time it takes to inflate and also the time it takes to deflate! We stuck drinking straws in the valves to keep them open (to allow the air to escape) and after 7 DAYS it was still not completely deflated! This may be a problem if you need to deflate it and pack it up to travel!

Great if you have a portable air compressor…
    Rating:4 out of 5 stars
This is a great overnight bed for Grandma and Grandpa’s house. My son is 2 years old and absolutely LOVES his Elmo bed (well, to be honest, he LOVES all things Elmo). It said it took sheets but it will not work with a fitted sheet. We just put a blanket down in the bottom and then my son has a blanket over him.

This bed comes with a very archaeic foot pump to inflate. The first time we tried this we had not taken our air compressor and it took me 45 minutes to inflate. The next time we had the portable air compressor and it went up in about 5 minutes. It takes a little to deflate it also. We took the long route the first time by pinching open the valves (they are protected valves so you have to pinch them to take air out). The second time we took the nozzle from the foot pump, pushed it into the valve for inflation and viola…..we were then able to lay on the bed oursleves and deflate. You can never get all the air out either so we purchased a small plastic bin with a lid for storage. Over all a very good investment though.

Cute, but takes FOREVER to blow up
    Rating:3 out of 5 stars
Very cute bed, my little one loves it, but…..it takes FOREVER to blow up! On here it says “High-powered air pump for quick inflation and deflation”….yeah….right…. It’s a manual foot pump that is a piece of junk and it took me about 30 minutes to blow everything up! Also, this bed does not come with the bedding, but it says on the box that you can buy it from Crown Crafts Infant Products…..wrong. I looked online and they don’t carry any such thing. It’s a good buy for a portable bed and your little one won’t roll out, but buy an electric pump!
